Running, Working out in the Gym, any type of exercise keeps me sane and happy. I run the CRAZY off! If I ever need a pick-me-up or something to make me feel better, I do a physical activity which tends to be running. Feeling good about ourselves stems from taking care of ourselves....mind, body and soul

Down For The Count
Not able to run for a little while due to a cycling race accident. Wasn't even 5 minutes into the race when a set of railroad tracks sent my bike and me flying and smashing to the ground. I obliterated my wrist. Broke the radius and ulnar into 9 different pieces. This is the most continuous pain I have ever inflicted upon myself. Dr. Michael Lawley has reconstructed it though with bone grafting. a plate and a ton of screws so now it's just the waiting and healing process. I am hoping to do a 5K in Nov. but we will see :)Article on cycling injuries

GREAT FINISH FOR THE ROADS SCHOLARS
The 75 mile trek from Milford to Dayton was a huge success and the day was filled with good weather, fabulous friends, wonderful fellowship and a lot of fast running by all.
We finished 40th out of 150+ teams and averaged a 8.23 minute mile pace.

Inaugural Run in Ohio's Market to Market relay
Sept 6, 2014 Market to Market Race
I am a runner. I run to stay sane. I run to stay happy. I run to look and feel young. Tomorrow, I am running. I am one of a 7 person team participating in a 73 mile relay from Milford to Dayton. Rain is suppose to engulf us but I'm hoping our weathermen are wrong this time because it could prove to be a long, stuffy and stinky ride in the van for 12 hours if it does. Despite the weather predictions, though, I am truly looking forward to this new running experience as well as the fellowship with my friends. Pictures to come, hopefully ones of smiling faces and not drowned rats ;)

GOODREADS LIST for Teens
If you're looking for a book to read for your independent novel and blogging, check out these sites. They may help you with your reading choice:

I, myself, am going to read Diana Gabaldon's 7th book in her Outlander series, An Echo in the Bone. This is the 2nd time I'll have read it but it's been a couple years and I want to re-read it before reading her 8th book that came out this year. I'm ADDICTED to this book series and hope to go to Scotland one day and see all the places that Claire and Jamie were a part of in their "fictional" lives.
